One descends taking out others along the way An outlier becomes a movement Stronger in numbers Destructive to itself The one causes the fall of many All for existing higher in the tree
To fall is to let go To let something new take control To stop the going, going, going Ease into a state of flowing, not knowing To fall is to trust A cyclical love affair—perhaps lust? Peace of mind, crunch underfoot Dusting off the remnants of last year's soot Fire crackling, Ego burning Desire, the stinging pain of yearning But take it easy now! Not all is predetermined Can't you hold out for one last Christmas sermon? Relax, I only mean to joke That dogmatic old tome will yet go up in smoke Aged men, upon whom that Word flew Tis the season of change: what will you do?
